Raised Floor

One of the important criteria in the function of an access floor system is stability. This is measured by its capabilities to support certain amount of dynamic and static loads indefinitely. The strength of each model is therefore, being classified by its ability, to support the desired static concentrated and uniform distributed load over a specified surface area.

Our Access Floor Systems are designed to cater for such wide usages and applications with structural gradings as specified in the Malaysian Standard.

Apart from being able to support the expected static load, the performance of an access floor system is also measured by its ability to withstand certain dynamic forces such as those affected by heavy rolling objects or impact of falling articles. Generally, hollow steel panel systems are vulnerable to these type of dynamic forces and should be avoided. Our systems are solid in design, such as woodcare systems, steel panel with cementitious in-fill system and pressure die cast aluminium systems.

Ultimate load refers to loading onto the system which will cause failure to the system or any of its parts. The said load can be concentrated or distributed static load. Malaysian Standard MS 1552: Part 2: 2002 (Section 13.2) specifies the systems shall be capable to sustain 3 times their working laods.


Malaysian Standard MS 1552: Part 1: 2002 (Section 4.3) stipulates the systems shall achieve

a)   ‘Class 1’surface classification when tested in accordance to BS 476L Part 7; and
b)   An index of performance (1) not exceeding 12 and a sub index (i) not exceeding 6 when tested in accordance to BS 476: Part 6

The woodcare systems comply to these requirements and had been tested by Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) as well as Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (SISIR) with results gaining ‘Class 0’ designation.

Our steel and aluminium panel systems are considered and recognized by Malaysian Standard as non-combustible products.

Our systems are designed to achieve stringent transverse electro static discharge (ESD) which is essential in computer rooms and semi-conductor production facilities.
